“RompiLaBolla”: tell us how you experience digital life

A mini-video, a symbolic gesture, and a hashtag to give voice to a generation that wants to choose with their heads, not just with algorithms.

Encouraging young people—and others—to reflect on how they use digital technology and inviting them to look “beyond the feed”: this is the goal of #RompiLaBolla, TIM's new initiative that invites people to rediscover the value of doubt, discussion, and discovery, not to leave the web but to experience it in a more conscious way.

Digital technology connects us, inspires us, and makes us creative.
Every day we browse, scroll, click, and choose.
But what leads us to see certain things and not others?
And how much freedom do we really have to choose?
Thinking critically and learning about new tools allows us to use digital technology without being used by it.
Let's give our connections the power of our thoughts.
Let's turn on our eyes, not just our devices.

GGuided by this Manifesto, we have launched a communication campaign that gives voice and continuity to the initiatives we carry out together with our partners, such as “Doubt and Debate,” created with the Observatory for independent thinking, and “Mind The Web,” developed by TIM for the Italian Digital Media Observatory (IDMO).

These projects are already active in secondary schools and are designed to help the younger generation avoid becoming trapped in algorithmic bubbles that only confirm what they already think, but rather to experience the digital world in a more informed, free, and conscious way.

We can build the fastest networks in Europe, but without knowledgeable people there will be no progress,” said Pietro Labriola, CEO of TIM. “Technology is a bridge: you have to know how to walk on it.”

With #RompiLaBolla, together with the hashtag #ViviFuoriDalDisplay and others that anyone can invent, we invite young people to share—in a spontaneous and creative way—what it means for them to take control of digital technology and become protagonists of their own online choices.

Participating is easy: just record a mini-video (max 30 seconds) to explain what it means to use digital technology actively, end it with the symbolic gesture of the campaign, saying “Rompi la bolla!” (Break the bubble!), and share it on social media with the dedicated hashtags.

Davide, Giorgia, Stefano, and Federica, young people from TIM, have already put their faces to the campaign, together with Fabrizio Romano, sports journalist and influencer.

Join us: let's build and live together in a digital world without bubbles or filters, with curiosity and freedom.
