TIM brings Italian innovation to Expo 2020 Dubai

TIM, Sparkle, Olivetti, Telsy, Noovle and INWIT come together for the Italy Pavilion

10/04/2021 - 11:30 AM

"Beauty connects people" is the slogan of the Italy Pavilion at the major universal exhibition in the United Arab Emirates. The TIM Group is participating with the innovation and technologies of its companies Sparkle, Olivetti, Telsy and Noovle, and together with INWIT, it will illustrate its own national and international role in promoting digitalisation, innovation and the ability to connect people.

During the six-month exhibition, in its capacity as Official Platinum Sponsor of the Italy Pavilion, the Group will equip the exhibition space with the most advanced digital and sustainable connectivity solutions, promoting a series of workshops and visual narratives on latest-generation technologies.

Thanks to Sparkle, the Group's global operator and the first in the world to enable 5G roaming between Europe and the Middle East as early as August 2019, the Italy Pavilion will have international, broadband connectivity that will allow for high-quality digital services and experiences, like high-definition streaming and augmented reality solutions.

The other Group companies — Olivetti, Telsy and Noovle — will contribute their expertise, respectively, in the Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing, within a rich programme of talks and debates on the evolution of future technologies. The main themes will revolve around sustainable innovation and the need to disseminate digital skills to help the country get back on its feet, in line with the environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments set out in the 'Beyond Connectivity' strategic plan.

"The Expo Dubai's theme 'Connecting minds, creating the future' perfectly sums up our steadfast commitment to creating and spreading technology infrastructure and digital culture, essential conditions for inclusive and sustainable development"

Luigi Gubitosi, CEO TIM

INWIT, the Tower Operator, will also be there with an innovative installation at the Italy Pavilion entrance: the "Venezia" Smart Tower, 8.5 metres tall, built with eco-sustainable materials and covered with a steel sheath.
