The official website of Ambiti8n is now online. Developed within the framework of the IPCEI-CIS programme, the project aims to transform local Artificial Intelligence applications into interoperable systems capable of operating seamlessly across cloud and edge environments on the European sovereign infrastructure 8ra.
The portal presents the project's activities, technologies, and first achievements. Among these is the first operational system developed for the healthcare sector: a solution for detecting sleep apnea that allows multiple hospitals to collaboratively train an Artificial Intelligence model without directly sharing clinical data. Patient information remains within the originating healthcare institutions, while the AI model is continuously improved through a shared learning process.
The website also showcases the six key building blocks underpinning the platform: infrastructure, onboarding application, service orchestration, data management, federated training, and the deployment of Artificial Intelligence models across sovereign edge and cloud environments. Each component, developed by different partners, is integrated into a common architecture that enables the secure and distributed management of AI applications across heterogeneous infrastructures and service providers.
Alongside TIM, Ambiti8n brings together seven additional organizations from Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Hungary: CloudFerro, E-Group, Engineering, Reply, Result, Gdańsk University of Technology, and Villanova.ai.
