TIM takes part in MIND FoodS HUB , the project for the sustainable increase in agricultural production and the promotion of healthy food models.
The Food System digital Hub is part of the context of innovation of MIND (Milano Innovation District) and it represents a centre of infrastructure and expertise that aims to develop a new concept for agrifood research geared towards the sustainable production and processing of plant products and derivatives with an exceptional nutritional profile. Inside, distinguished research institutes, international companies and local businesses collaborate thanks to funding from the European Union, the Italian government and the Lombardy Region.
TIM participates in the project by providing technologies and expertise, in particular for the development, distribution and management of agrifood applications and for obtaining, storing and transmitting the data and information collected.
As at Cascina Baciocca in Cornaredo, in the province of Milan, where, using sensors, cameras and a 5G-connected robot that will communicate with a data processing cloud platform, it will be possible to monitor environmental parameters in real time and follow the growth of crops in a field and a greenhouse-tunnel, analysing the responses to the treatments applied.
