Starting on June 19, the “TIM Smart Infrastructure Challenge” kicks off, an initiative of TIM’s Open Innovation program aimed at accelerating the digitalization of the country’s critical infrastructure. The Challenge is open to startups, scaleups, and innovative SMEs, both Italian and international, that, by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and advanced sensor technologies, propose innovative solutions to improve the monitoring, efficiency and sustainability of energy, water and road networks, both public and private.
Joining us in this initiative are: Arduino, Cyber 4.0, eFM, EIT Digital, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, the 5G & Digital Connected Industry and Internet of Things Observatories of the Politecnico di Milano, SOCOTEC Italia, with the support of Alaian, the global alliance of Telco operators for Open Innovation, of which TIM is a member.
A technical jury will evaluate the proposals and select the most innovative solutions that can be integrated into the service portfolio of TIM Enterprise, the Group's business unit dedicated to companies and the Public Administration, or adopted by the Partners taking part in the initiative.
There are two key areas:
- Infrastructure Monitoring, for predictive and real-time analysis of infrastructure health, including through digital simulations;
- Building & Energy Management, for intelligent applications to manage and optimize energy consumption.
