Telecom Italia announces that the responsibility for the Wireline Service business unit has been entrusted to Riccardo Ruggiero.
Ruggiero, 41 years old, is currently the head of the Telecom Francia business unit, which groups together the wireline and internet activities of the Telecom Italia Group in France. Ruggiero was, from January 1996 to July 2001, chief executive officer of Infostrada and Italia Online, after having guided the Telecommunications Strategy and Marketing Division of Olivetti, from which were born Infostrada, Omnitel and Italia Online. At the end of the 1980s Ruggiero worked in AT&T in the United States.
