01/13/2005 - 12:00 PM

From January 22 Matches played by Inter, Juventus, Milan, Roma, Atalanta, Livorno and Sampdoria available live on Rosso Alice

All broadband users, whether they are signed up with Alice ADSL or another carrier, can watch matches played by 26 football teams in the current Serie A TIM and Serie B TIM leagues from the comfort of their own home, directly on a PC. New €24 subscription package launched for the second half of the season.

Telecom Italia and Mediaset have reached agreement regarding the sale of rights for Rosso Alice to offer live coverage of home matches played by Inter, Juventus, Milan, Roma, Atalanta, Livorno and Sampdoria in Serie A TIM for this year and for the next two seasons.

On January 22, as the second half of the season gets underway in Italy’s first and second divisions, the http://www.rossoalice.it/ broadband portal is expanding its coverage to include a total of 26 teams. The portal will be showing home matches played by seven new teams, in addition to the 10 Serie A TIM teams (Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Chievo, Fiorentina, Lecce, Messina, Palermo, Parma and Reggina) and the 9 Serie B TIM teams (Bari, Catania, Empoli, Genoa, Piacenza, Torino, Venezia, Verona and Vicenza) already on the Telecom Italia ADSL portal.

A brand-new €24 subscription package (including VAT) is being launched for the second half of the 2004/2005 season. This subscription runs alongside the annual €48 package (including VAT), and the €4 per month subscription fee available to Telecom Italia Alice subscribers. Existing annual subscribers will be able to watch live matches played by all 26 teams at no extra cost. All subscriptions entitle viewers to watch any of the Serie A TIM and Serie B TIM matches streamed live or recorded on Rosso Alice.

Individual live matches are available at a cost of €2.50 (including VAT). Recorded matches are priced at €0.50 (including VAT). Alice customers may charge matches directly to their Telecom Italia bill or pay by credit card. All other viewers must pay by credit card.

Rosso Alice is Telecom Italia’s broadband portal. Internet users with an ADSL or fibre optic connection can access content at http://www.rossoalice.it./

Launched by Telecom Italia in March 2004, during the month of November 2004 Rosso Alice registered 2,525,000 unique browsers (who accessed the site at least once), for a total of 67,700,000 pageviews, or an average of 2,260,000 pageviews per day. The number of Telecom Italia broadband customers continues to rise strongly: at the end of September 2004 the company supplied 3,655,000 broadband accesses, of which 355,000 were outside Italy.
