The new offer allows SMEs to distribute locally-targeted advertising messages via the Virgilio Web Portal, 1254 directory inquiries, and TIM mobile phones
Telecom Italia Group announces today its entrance into the local Advertising market, worth an estimated €3.5 billion, with a strategy wholly focused on developing new advertising genres (online advertising, mobile advertising), improving understanding of the customer and the potential of new infrastructures and services.
Thanks to “IO PUBBLICITA’”, Small and Medium Enterprises can, for the first time, implement locally-focused digital advertising with an integrated offer which combines Internet, mobile telephony and the 1254 directory enquiries service, to reach 11.5 million Unique Visitors per month to the Virgilio portal, more than 6 million TIM customers who have signed up to receive advertising messages, and the over 12 million calls to the 1254 service annually.
In particular, SME’s, keen to communicate locally through the internet, can do so from today via the Virgilio Portal, restricting their advertising messages to one or more Italian municipality on one of the 8,100 new portals set up for every single municipality in Italy, and accessible directly from the Virgilio homepage at the address www.virgilio.it. The 1254 directory enquiries service has increased its capacity to provide callers with more specific information. Small and Medium Enterprises can also target potential customers on the move at specific times of day, choosing specific customer profiles and selecting specific provinces via the TIM Spot text-based advertising service that goes out to TIM mobile phones.
The initiative takes advantage of the competences of Matrix, the Group company leader in digital media and online advertising, and of the Telecom Italia extensive sales networks.
