With reference to press rumours, Telecom Italia clarifies that it is studying a transaction for the issue of bonds intended for the Italian retail market only. The exchange of newly issued bonds with debt securities already issued by the Company is not foreseen, nor is the start of a public tender offer on such securities. The transaction, which is subject to the obligation to publish a prospectus, is currently under assessment by the competent authorities.
