01/12/2010 - 05:33 PM

Telecom Italia today received the “Famiglialavoro” award for the best integrated conciliation system, thanks to People Caring, a family-work conciliation programme for its employees and their families.

The ”Famiglialavoro” award, created and promoted by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with ALTIS  (Alta Scuola Impresa e Società, Università Cattolica), aims to reward companies and public administrations that have stood out for having designed and created a conciliation project for family and work life.

“We are honoured to have achieved this recognition”, said Franco Bernabè as he collected the award. “Improving the quality of life for people who work is an objective that we particularly believe in and which we think that all companies and institutions look at with care”, added the CEO of Telecom Italia, concluding "People Caring is a programme created with solid initiatives aimed at improving the work-life balance of Telecom Italia employees”.

People Caring is the new structure created by the Telecom Italia Group to propose initiatives for all employees: services to support families and time saving, dedicated events, on-line offers of products and services with favourable conditions also thanks to partnership agreements, motivational-transversal initiatives. People Caring also offers company nurseries, parking for pregnant women, agencies for handling administration (insurance, baking, postal, registry office), permits for employees and their families suffering from serious medical conditions, summer camps and bursaries to travel and study abroad for the children of employees, and the organisation of “bring your children to work” days, as well as taking care of news columns dedicated to the life of company employees.

The objective of the project is to find the correct work-life balance, firmly combining to improve the overall quality of life.
