Telecom Italia’s strategic plan update was illustrated to the sector Unions (CGIL, CISL and UIL), by the company delegation. Specific reference to the impact on headcount forecast for the 2010-2012 period was made.
In particular the Company highlighted that for Telecom Italia S.p.A. efficiency already foreseen in the previous plans 2009 - 2011 (2300 employees, following the reductions already made in the first part of 2010 and previous years), will be accumulated with further added efficiencies of 4522 employees at 31.12.2012.
On a separate issue, with reference to SSC, Telecom Italia has confirmed its direct interest in maintaining SSC’s activities within the Group’s perimeter under the condition of restoring job competitiveness and, in this framework, Telecom Italia confirms its direct management of the above-mentioned objectives.
The parties agreed on the need to examine further the Plan’s dynamics through meetings on market strategies (Domestic market Operations) and on technology and investment options (Technology & Operations) with the possibility of a follow up meeting.
