Telecom Italia takes note of the fine communicated to it today by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) regarding the procedure for network corrective maintenance services, namely, those services linked to the restoration of service operations, resulting from a report by an end user.
In its conviction that it acted in an absolutely lawful way, the Company does not agree with the decision, in that the behaviours ascribed to Telecom Italia did not have purposes or effects that were anticompetitive.
The Company will therefore appeal to the Lazio Regional Administrative Court to demonstrate the non-existence of the anticompetitive attitudes attributed to it.
Telecom Italia reiterates its willingness to continue to guarantee to the OLOs an ever better access to all the technical and procedural information regarding its external suppliers involved in the supply of network maintenance services, also following on the path undertaken with the sector regulator in defining a new and even more transparent framework for its relations with the other operators, intended also to strengthen the equivalence processes.
