TIM has today announced a number of organisational changes designed to focus technological and service innovation activities and to improve monitoring of network development and information technology, considering the changing market environment and resulting challenges.
The changes are as follows:
- The Chief Innovation & Partnership Office has been established, reporting directly to the CEO and led by Elisabetta Romano, who is responsible for the TIM Group's technological positioning on innovation and for the medium/long-term development strategy, as well as maximising the value of partnerships and alliances with major Italian and international players.
- The Chief Technology & Innovation Office has been renamed the Chief Technology & Information Office, reporting directly to the CEO and led by Michele Gamberini, who is responsible for the development of networks and information technology, bringing together engineering processes , development and operation of technological infrastructures, platforms and IT applications. Mr Gamberini does not hold any Telecom Italia shares.
- The Chief Wholesale Infrastructures Network & Systems Office, led by Stefano Siragusa, has been renamed the Chief Operations Office, bringing together operations in fixed and mobile access networks, service delivery and on-field network operation and maintenance, to facilitate a progressive recovery of operating efficiency.
- The Wholesale Market Function has been placed under the direct supervision of Giovanni Moglia, TIM's Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer, and the function has been renamed Chief Regulatory Affairs & Wholesale Market in order to ensure the continuity of TIM's results achieved in the recent years with the implementation of the New Equivalence Model, in line with strategy and regulatory sustainability.
