TIM and Confcommercio join forces to strengthen the digital innovation of SMEs

Agreement to foster the use of new technologies and the spread of digital skills with the support of EDI Confcommercio’s country-wide network

09/27/2021 - 11:30 AM

Promoting greater digitisation of businesses is now a decisive factor to put the country’s digital growth programmes to good use. This was the underlying objective of the innovative memorandum of understanding signed by TIM, Confcommercio and EDI – the Digital Innovation Hub of Confcommercio which has a network of over 60 Innovation Points throughout the country – which envisages the joint development of training initiatives to increase digitisation and the level of digital skills in the Italian business system fostering the development of new business opportunities thanks to the use of new technologies.

TIM, a technological partner of reference for EDI and Confcommercio, will develop its training activities through Operazione Risorgimento Digitale’, the great alliance of institutions and businesses promoted by the company to boost the spread of the digital culture in the country.

By 2021, a pilot phase will be launched, which will include training initiatives for entrepreneurs and the development of listening activities, strategic-financial advice, and funded planning.

In particular, as regards training, the collaboration involves the organisation of events dedicated to digital transformation targeting businesses operating in the sectors represented by Confcommercio, which will be included in EDI’s annual programme and will also be accessible on demand through the EDI platform and the support of TIM.

The agreement also includes other initiatives aimed at business people: the organisation of meetings between companies on particular topics relating to digital matters in order to understand the needs of entrepreneurs and identify and propose the best solutions; EDI Confcommercio’s support for businesses in finding the necessary financial resources to tackle the new digital challenge; and the development of projects to facilitate the digital transformation process, in the sectors represented by Confcommercio, which can benefit from European funding, also for activities that will be promoted by European Digital Innovation Hubs.
