Telsy, the cybersecurity, cryptography and quantum security unit operating within TIM Enterprise, and Fortinet, the global cybersecurity leader driving the convergence of networking and security, have established a technology partnership to offer businesses and public administrations advanced network solutions that can withstand quantum threats.
The integrated solution uses Telsy’s Quell-X Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology, co-developed with its subsidiary, QTI (Quantum Telecommunications Italy), to enable quantum-safe VPNs. This futureproof VPN connection, enabled via an ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) compliant integration with FortiGate NGFW (Next Generation Firewalls), is capable of protecting organizations’ critical data against the emerging threats of quantum computing. Telsy represents Italian technological excellence and this collaboration with Fortinet highlights its ability to compete globally.
The integration between Fortinet and Telsy technologies allows quantum cryptographic keys to be generated and distributed to safeguard data confidentiality and integrity now and in the future. With native FortiOS quantum-safe capabilities, the solution is designed for seamless plug-and-play implementation in enterprise and public administration environments where Fortinet technologies are already widespread, thus accelerating deployment timelines and reducing integration risks.
Fortinet’s Open Ecosystem is one of the largest cybersecurity ecosystems in the industry, and the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Technology Alliance Partner Program brings together a community of industry-leading global technology partners with specialized expertise, delivering integrated solutions to customers for comprehensive end-to-end security.
“This collaboration represents a tangible step towards building an increasingly integrated and resilient security ecosystem. Bringing our quantum technology to a global platform such as Fortinet means transforming Italian innovation into operational value for businesses and Public Administration, contributing to a cybersecurity that is not only a defense but also enables the digital transformation of the future,” said Alessandra Michelini, CEO of Telsy.
“Fortinet’s technology partners integrate with Fortinet products and solutions to help customers attain advanced security across their infrastructure, with end-to-end approach and best of breed innovation. We are pleased to have Telsy as a Fortinet Fabric-Ready Technology Alliance Partner, enabling advanced quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions. Together, we help customers face the quantum cyber challenges ahead and prepare for the quantum era,” said Massimo Palermo, Vice President Sales Italy and Malta at Fortinet.
With this initiative, TIM Enterprise, Telsy and Fortinet are promoting an integrated, future-proof cybersecurity model, where cloud, artificial intelligence and quantum technologies converge to ensure security of data and digital transformation today and tomorrow.
