TIM Ventures, TIM Group’s corporate venture capital arm, has completed an investment in Wallife, an innovative insurtech startup specialising in protection against emerging risks generated by technological evolution.
This initiative is part of TIM Ventures’ strategy to support companies with high industrial potential that operate in key areas for the development of digital services, both for individuals and businesses.
In this context, TIM, in collaboration with Wallife and Net Insurance (Poste Italiane Group), has recently launched a new consumer insurance offering within the Group’s solutions portfolio. Designed to protect users from risks related to digital identity theft on smartphones, tablets and PCs, the offer addresses the growing need for security in managing everyday digital life.
The collaboration between TIM and Wallife aims to develop innovative insurtech solutions, combining insurance protection and technology in a single, simple and effective customer experience.
“TIM Ventures’ investment represents an important recognition of Wallife’s growth journey and of the vision we are pursuing in the insurtech world,” said Fabio Sbianchi, CEO and Founder di Wallife. “The partnership with the TIM Group will enable us to strengthen the positioning of our solutions, expand our market presence and open up new opportunities for industrial collaboration.”
“With this transaction, TIM Ventures confirms its focus on innovative companies operating in strategic sectors for the evolution of digital services,” commented Claudio Ongaro, TIM’s Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer and Chairman of TIM Ventures. “Wallife’s proposition is consistent with our objective of developing value-added solutions within the TIM Group ecosystem, with a long-term industrial development perspective.”
