Olivetti, Telecom Italia Group’s Information & Communication Technology company, has introduced two important new products that will enrich its retail market offer: Nettuna 700, the new fiscal cash register with advanced functionality, designed to meet the demands of all types of retail outlets, and the innovative solutions for retail outlet automation.
Nettuna 700 is the high-end cash register that integrates the new dual-processor platform developed by Olivetti, capable of tailoring the product’s management performance to the different needs of the various product sectors, enabling, for example, the preparation of reports that highlight data of special relevance to the shopkeeper. Moreover, thanks to its broadband connection interface, Nettuna 700 can provide connectivity-based value added services that will become available as Public Administrations, businesses and professional associations progressively embrace digital technology. Through connections secured by digital signature-based authentication, shopkeepers will be able, for example, to electronically transfer daily earnings to accountants, pay their taxes and access public administration services.
Nettuna 700 is equipped with a fast thermal printer, an automatic paper cutter, ample backlit displays, a programmable 81-key keyboard and a built-in chip card reader; it is also equipped with an abundant number of USB master and slave ports that enable it to be upgraded via pen drive and programmed by a PC, and to be connected to peripherals such as printers and bar code readers.
Olivetti has also further broadened its Shop Automation range with new integrated solutions for point of sale management aimed at the restaurant, pharmacy, organized retail and especially franchise sectors. The products range from cash registers to POS terminals, to touch screen terminals with cash register functionality that enable the use of an ample range of software applications that can optimize the management of stores and stocks according to the needs of specific product categories: from managing table orders in restaurants to the differentiation of items according to size and color in shoe and clothing stores.
The ample range of tailored solutions is made available through a wide network of dealers that can provide advice and technical support with “Best for Retail” certification, awarded exclusively to dealers with the highest expertise.
