09/16/2010 - 05:15 PM

Telecom Italia’s Chairman di Genola and the CEO Franco Bernabè brought together today in Venice the Board Members and Auditors of the Company in an informal meeting to discuss future scenarios and illustrate the upcoming innovations of the TLC sector.

The meeting took place in the Telecom Italia Future Centre, international think tank and experimentation centre for the TLCs, in the former convent of San Salvador, a Renaissance building in the heart of Venice.

Along with those of Telecom Italia’s top managers the day of study and analysis included speeches by Roberto Saracco, Head  of Future Centre & Technical Communication, Cesare Sironi, responsible of Strategy & Innovation, Oscar Cicchetti, responsible of Technology & Operations, Alessandro Talotta, responsible of Equivalence and Regulatory Affairs, and Marco Patuano, responsible of Domestic Market Operations.

The participants drafted the scenario that the operators of the TLC sector will be facing over the next years: challenges and opportunities, the developments of the infrastructures and of the regulatory framework, the applications within the TLC sector that will contribute in modifying every-day life.

The meeting was also the occasion to test some of the most innovative services developed in Telecom Italia’s research centres, such as the HD video communication on ultra broadband LTE mobile network, mobile payment services and loyalty programmes, remote monitoring and optimisation of energy consumption, and the interactive and tailored fruition of TV contents with CuboVision®.
Finally, the participants had the chance to visit the historical telephone exchange that is inside the Centre.
