Nuvola Italiana has received another recognition from the CSA, an international association which aims to promote the use of best practices for the security of cloud computing platforms. With its Hosting Evoluto, Nuvola Italiana has become part of STAR which is accessible from all companies present on the market and that certifies security, reliability, privacy and control levels implemented within the solutions offered.

The recognition is a significant result for the Group and has been obtained through a series of improvements based on advanced technological solutions, efficient organization and processes and on the skills and competences of the resources involved. It confirms Telecom Italia’s excellence in the Information & Communication Technology sector.

“Nuvola It Hosting Evoluto” is the solution offered by Nuvola Italiana and part of its Iaas portfolio that - by using the most innovative computing technologies for virtualization - allows Public Administration and companies to remotely use distributed and shared hardware resources that are hosted within Telecom Italia’s Data Centres. Therefore companies can make use of constantly updated solutions dynamically and on the basis of their specific needs without having to invest in dedicated IT resources or specialized know how and therefore optimize their costs and efficiency.

Specifically the “Hosting Evoluto” solution has met the 98 technical, contractual and security requirements for a Cloud Control Matrix (CCM), a matrix developed by CSA that represents the framework benchmark for cloud computing compliance and risk management.

The conformity analysis for CSA requirements relative to Hosting Evoluto was conducted on the basis of documental and statistical data integrated with operative parameters, previously awarded certifications and by following consolidated best practice indications capable of guaranteeing an objective evaluation of the service’s level of quality while defining its reliability and security requirements.

After having been awarded the IS9001 quality certification - relative to processes necessary for cloud services to be provided in IaaS modality - and the ISO27001 security certification - relative to security levels of Telecom Italia’s Data Centre infrastructures which were awarded to the company more than two years ago; adhering to the CSA STAR initiative represents another opportunity for the Group to make customers aware of all security measures that are being taken in the field of cloud solutions.
