Telecom Italia has confirmed its leadership in Social and Web communication: this has emerged from the results of two studies, Digital Close to Media and Webranking, by Comprend released today and which analysed the online behaviour of the largest listed companies. In particular, the Digital Close to Media study has drawn a comparison, in mid-October, of the network presence of 40 companies by also examining the number of followers reached by the official Twitter accounts of the chairmen and CEOs of the same companies, with the aim of establishing  a ranking of the most influential people at "social" level.

On Twitter Telecom Italia (@telecomitaliaTw) boasts 162,957 followers ranking first by a wide margin in this special ranking. In addition, the company is represented on the same social network also by the accounts of Chairman Giuseppe Recchi and CEO Marco Patuano that boast a total of about 9 thousand followers.

Even Telecom Italia's corporate digital communication has obtained an important recognition of the continuous commitment to communication excellence and to strengthening the company's online reputation. With 86.6 points out of 100, Telecom Italia ranked second in the 2015 Webranking by Comprend, the study that has been for the past 14 years the point of reference in Italy for the analysis of the quality of online financial and corporate communication. The 2015 edition of the ranking conducted by Comprend in collaboration with Lundquist, analysed and assessed the English version of the corporate websites of the 70 mostly highly capitalised companies  on the Milan Stock Exchange in June 2015.

This year the website telecomitalia.com focused on business storytelling (divided into key topics such as innovation, sustainability and culture), addressing a wider audience and  that of corporate  stakeholders. The Group communication has been enriched by new forms of presentation of its strategy, with Telecom Italian being the first company in the Country to drop the interactive financial statements as a replica of the annual financial statements to create a narrative-like version: the latest edition, Connected to the future, focuses on the presentation of the corporate strategy and tells the projects that support it also through video interviews with Top Managers.

The award ceremony celebrating the winners of the Webranking contest will be held in Milan on 3 December during the European Seminar on Digital Corporate Communications.
