Ookla®, the global leader in fixed and mobile network measurement and analysis, has assigned TIM the Speedtest Award™ for the Best Mobile Coverage for Q1-Q2 2021. TIM has also been verified as the Fastest 5G network in Italy for Q2 2021.

Based on the analyses conducted by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence® data for the first half of 2021, TIM ranks first among national operators for having the mobile network with the best coverage(*), winning the ‘Best Mobile Coverage Award’.

TIM has also been verified as the top position for 5G speed, with a median download speed of 282.94 Mbps, 58.3% faster than the company ranked second(**).

These two important achievements once again confirm TIM's commitment to the digitisation of the country also through the development of the 5G mobile ultrabroadband network, which enables the ever faster, more immediate communication that is essential for the dissemination and use of next generation services.
