10/14/2016 - 12:34 PM

Olivetti (TIM Group) amplifies its offer for the three-dimensional printer market presenting the new 3D DESK printer designed for schools, universities and professional practices requiring a safe, reliable printer featuring top performance.

As for the 3D S2 model designed for the manufacturing sector and released to the market last year, the 3D DESK printer also is the result of a partnership between Olivetti and GIMAX, leader in the industrial automation sector, and planned for production entirely in Italy.

The 3D DESK has a linear design, compact size and printing area of up to 20 cm x 20 cm, its fully enclosed structure providing maximum safety during use - all features carefully studied to meet the demands of schools and professional environments. The new 3D DESK is the ideal solution for transforming rapidly and economically a three-dimensional design into a concrete reality.

Developed to be fully compliant with EC safety norms, the 3D DESK stands out for its great precision and the industrial quality standard of its mechanics and electronics, with high execution speeds and great flexibility it is able to manufacture objects in thermoplastics of various types.

The use of open source software and hardware components means that new functionalities can be implemented easily, while a capillary network of Dealers provides support and assistance in Italy.

The 3D DESK printer will be on show at the TIM stand during the ‘Maker Faire - European Edition 2016’ taking place from today to the 16th October at the Rome Faire.
