Sparkle Participates to 4 Weeks 4 Inclusion: 300 Companies Together to Promote the Culture of Inclusion

On 5 December, Sparkle's webinar on the mentoring program for the professional development of female students in Sicily

11/28/2022 - 04:35 PM

Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top global operators, participates to 4 Weeks 4 Inclusion (4W4I), the inter-company event that this year sees 300 companies engaged in a four-week consecutive marathon on inclusion, with a rich program of digital events.

4W4I is an initiative conceived by TIM to raise awareness on the issues of inclusion and diversity. After the success of the 2021 edition, this year 300 companies alternate from 14 November to 6 December in a choral narration of inclusion stories, sharing best practices, models and tools to enhance all forms of diversity: from disability to intergenerational confrontation, from the enhancement of the female contribution to sexual orientation and gender identity, to ethnicity and religion.

Sparkle's presence at 4W4I takes the form of the narration of the "Young Women Empowerment Program" (YEP), a mentoring project promoted by Fondazione Ortygia to support the personal and professional growth of female university students in Southern Italy and to which Sparkle renews its adhesion by supporting the development of young talents in Sicily, which has always been a strategic region for TIM Group’s global operator.

For the third year in a row, Sicilian students enrolled in master's degree courses in economic and scientific disciplines at the universities of Palermo, Catania and Messina are supported by Sparkle managers through individual mentoring sessions to guide their academic and career choices, develop merit and promote ambition and confidence in the future. Joining YEP is part of Sparkle's broader commitment to the development of female presence and to the reduction of gender disparity in a traditionally male-dominated technological sector.

During the webinar - hosted by Federica Moroni, VP, Institutional & External Communication at Sparkle - Gini Dupasquier, Managing Director of Fondazione Ortygia, will describe the project and its results; the webinar will also feature “double interviews” of mentees and mentors testifying their experience and the value of this unique project.

The event will be broadcast on 5 December at 3 pm CET, with English subtitles and translation in Italian Sign Language: To watch the webinar and know more about the whole initiative, just visit 4w4i.it.
