The Italian digital market closes 2025 with growth (+3.2%), despite an uncertain macroeconomic environment. The main drivers of the market are ICT services, with Cloud, Cybersecurity and AI confirmed as the key engines of transformation, alongside the increasing relevance of online advertising and digital content.
Between 2025 and 2028, growth is expected to continue at a more moderate pace (+2.8%), sustained by the most innovative Digital Enablers – particularly AI, Cloud and Cybersecurity – and increasingly concentrated within business‑related spending. Both enterprises and the Public Administration will steer the market’s evolution, with healthcare, finance and utilities among the most active sectors.
Some critical challenges, however, could slow down progress: shortages of specialized skills, high energy costs and geopolitical instability. Despite these obstacles, the trajectory remains clear: digital technologies continue to serve as a key lever for Italy’s competitiveness and modernization.
