Olivetti has obtained B Corp Certification, the international recognition awarded by B Lab, which brings together a global community of more than 10,000 companies operating in over 100 countries, united by their commitment to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

An identity evolving through digital innovation and sustainability

B Corp Certification is part of Olivetti’s ongoing transformation journey. Today, the company operates within TIM Enterprise and, alongside its historic presence in the Office segment, develops Smart City and Smart Industry solutions based on Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data technologies.

Through its solutions, Olivetti contributes to the digitalization of territories and national infrastructures. The expertise developed in the field of digital twins enables the company to support both public and private clients in managing complex environments, ranging from Smart Lands to critical infrastructures. Monitoring and forecasting services promote more efficient management of urban environments in areas such as mobility, security, tourism flows, protection of natural heritage, and enhancement of cultural heritage. The same approach is also applied to complex infrastructures—including industrial plants, bridges, dams, gas pipelines, and power transmission lines—with the aim of strengthening their resilience, efficiency, and operational continuity.

This is complemented by the evolution of Olivetti’s Office offering, increasingly focused on solutions that promote efficiency and resource conservation, including refurbished products and consumables within a circular economy framework.

A recognition that measures impact and values a long-term journey

B Corp certification is the result of a journey that began in 2022 with the decision to adopt the status of a Benefit Corporation, incorporating goals for the common good into its articles of incorporation alongside its economic objectives.

Since taking this step, Olivetti has refined its processes, metrics, and methods for measuring impact, consolidating existing practices and guiding improvement initiatives. This journey has been guided by the B Impact Assessment, B Lab’s model that comprehensively evaluates a company’s environmental, social, and governance performance.

B Lab awarded Olivetti an overall score of 87.1 out of 100, confirming the strength of the path it has embarked upon as a Benefit Corporation. The most significant performance areas are People, Community, and Governance, with highlights related to employee welfare, professional development, inclusion, responsible supply chain management, ethics, transparency, and control systems. The result also highlights impact initiatives integrated into the business model, such as solutions for smart cities and digital infrastructure, as well as initiatives focused on resource conservation in the Office segment.

The certification issued by B Lab validates this journey.

A Commitment That Looks to the Future

Olivetti’s entry into the B Corp world helps bring the TIM Group’s industrial vision to life and represents both a milestone and a starting point for continuing to improve a model that effectively integrates digital innovation and responsibility.
