On Saturday, November 15, 2025, we helped breathe new life into the city of Rome.
Around 100 people, including TIM colleagues and their families and friends, came together to share a special gesture: planting 400 trees and shrubs in the Torrino Mezzocammino district. This concrete action promotes biodiversity and enhances urban greenery, helping to create more sustainable and welcoming spaces for everyone. We achieved this thanks to our collaboration with Rete Clima, the technical body that has been supporting our biodiversity projects since 2022 as part of Rete Clima's national Foresta Italia® campaign with Coldiretti and PEFC Italia.
BioForest®, a special forest
What we have created is not just a simple plantation. While a generic forest can be considered a large ecosystem of tall trees, dominated by spontaneous vegetation, a BioForest® is a micro-forest designed to conserve and protect biodiversity in urban and extra-urban contexts. It is, in fact, composed of selected tree and shrub species distributed to maximize the biological and ecosystem benefits of the specific territorial context. Furthermore, it does not stop at planting, but maintenance and monitoring are also provided to ensure the vitality of the forest and prevent the risk of fire and degradation.
