According to data from the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità), the perception of risk related to sexually transmitted infections is decreasing, particularly among young people. After a gradual reduction in new HIV diagnoses between 2012 and 2020, a new increase has been recorded since 2021.
In addition, the share of people receiving a late diagnosis has grown over the last decade, with a significant impact on health and on the spread of the virus.

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, we aim to keep attention high on this issue through the training programme “Prevention Insights on HIV, AIDS and STIs”, available to everyone, both within and outside the TIM Group.

The programme includes three video modules, developed by industry experts in collaboration with ANLAIDS Lazio and the Tor Vergata University Hospital in Rome, with the goal of providing scientifically accurate information on sexually transmitted infections and on the importance of responsible behaviour, prevention and the fight against stigma.

This initiative is part of the Welfare Insieme – New Energies programme, which supports people’s health and wellbeing through training and awareness activities, and promotes a culture of prevention and individual and collective responsibility.
