TIM accelerates on fibre with Ducati champion Francesco Bagnaia starring in its new advert

From 11 June it will be possible to ‘scrap’ old ADSL lines to upgrade to an ultrabroadband connection up to 10 GB and receive a bonus of 120 euros

06/09/2023 - 10:30 AM

To encourage migration towards fibre connectivity, faster and with lower environmental impact, TIM is launching the ‘ADSL scrapping’ programme. From 11 June it will be possible to bid farewell to the old ADSL or voice only PSTN copper cables and activate ultrabroadband fibre connections up to 10 GB/s through a new promotion.

A new television campaign will also go live for the occasion, featuring Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, exceptional Ducati racer and MotoGP world champion.

With this initiative, customers who move to TIM fibre by activating one of the ‘TIM WiFi Power All Inclusive’ or ‘TIM WiFi Power Top’ offers will receive a bonus of 120 euros in their bill (5 euros/month for 24 months). As an alternative to the ADSL bonus, and with a view to the circular economy, a similar incentive will be offered to customers who scrap their old modem, handing it over to the TIM technician when the new line is installed, in order to promote the regeneration or sustainable disposal of obsolete devices.

In addition to the advert, TIM is teaming up once again with Ducati to highlight Italian excellence. The TIM logo will be visible on the front and rear spoilers of both Ducati Lenovo Team bikes during the Gran Premio d’Italia del Mugello (9-10-11 June) and the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini (8-9-10 September).

Måneskin’s new hit ‘Baby Said’ also features in the advert (30-second and 20-second), which will be shown by the main national broadcasters and on the web. The television campaign will be accompanied by a 20-second radio advert, digital advertising, out-of-home advertising and BTL advertising for stores.
