Climate Transition Plan

“Cloud and AI are driving demand for connectivity  and computing capacity at an unprecedented pace. We cannot ignore this. With our Climate Transition Plan, we have set out a clear path to reduce our emissions despite the continued growth of the digital economy. We will make our processes and infrastructure more efficient to reduce energy consumption,  while adopting lower-impact technologies. And the more the system succeeds in creating the economic conditions needed to support this challenge, the more ambitious the results we will be able to achieve„

Pietro Labriola, CEO TIM Group

The demand for connectivity and computing capacity must not translate into an unsustainable increase in environmental impact. With our Climate Transition Plan, we are changing course to reduce emissions.

Our goal is to achieve Net Zero by 2050 by reducing the Group's emissions across our operations in Italy and Brazil.

Supporting this goal is €550 million in financial resources, already included in the Group's strategic plan.

The Climate Transition Plan forms part of a broader set of ESG targets that will remain in place until the new Industrial Plan is announced: at Group level, 35.5% women in leadership positions by 2027 and 50% women hired each year through 2027; in Italy, 17% YoY growth in advanced digital solutions (IoT, Cloud and Security); in Brazil, at least 90% of the workforce engaged in digital skills development programmes.
