Sometimes it takes very little to make a difference. A donated packet of pasta, an hour of your time, a shared smile. Simple gestures that, when added together, produce an important result: they create culture and a sense of belonging. Because at TIM, behind every act of generosity, there is an idea that takes shape: that of a company which, together with its people, transforms its values into actions, creating authentic bonds with the community.
Two concrete moments, part of a broader vision
These days, we are renewing the tradition of “Banchetti natalizi,” hosted at our offices in collaboration with associations and non-profit organizations that raise funds through the sale of products to support their projects. In recent days, we have also organized a company collection in collaboration with Banco Alimentare: a moment of solidarity dedicated to collecting food to support families in need. Collection points have been set up in several TIM locations where people can donate non-perishable food items.
A tradition of shared commitment
Solidarity initiatives at TIM are part of a process that has been consolidated over time, strengthening the relationship between the company and its people.
For over 15 years, we have been organizing blood donation days with AVIS, and TIM employees can take advantage of time off to donate at the association's offices or in the bloodmobiles that periodically visit our offices.
Since 2013, we have also been facilitating financial support for children in need by allowing all colleagues to donate a small amount from their paychecks to a non-profit organization such as Save the Children, CIAI, or Comunità di Sant'Egidio. In addition, we support Race for the Cure, the largest event in Italy for the fight against breast cancer, through the TIM Runners team.
We collaborate with well-known organizations such as the Italian Red Cross, Telethon, Emergency, ANT, AISM (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association), ADMO (Association of Bone Marrow Donors), but also with associations that are less well known at the national level but equally committed in local contexts, such as ATT – Associazione Tumori Toscana (Tuscany Cancer Association) and Associazione Io Domani (Io Domani Association), which fights against childhood cancer in Rome. Peter Pan, Famiglie e Abilità, Una Grande Famiglia, and Associazione Andrea Tudisco, which support children with health problems, people with disabilities, and their families. We also support associations that are committed to helping children in foreign countries, such as Amici di Huaycan in Peru and L'Isola dei Bambini in Madagascar.
“S” stands for sustainability, society, and solidarity
These initiatives represent our vision of sustainability as a global approach. While the environmental dimension of sustainability is the most visible, the dimension indicated by the letter “S” (“Social” in the acronym ESG) is equally central: it means taking care of people, both inside and outside the organization. This includes gestures of solidarity. Gestures that, together, build a shared culture and strengthen the sense of community.
