For the eighteenth year in a row, TIM is once again on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe and World: an important achievement that on the one hand acknowledges our attention to ESG principles, included in the 2021-2023 Strategic Plan and at the heart of our development strategy, and on the other enhances the projects and activities we pursue.
This year there are only 4 Telecommunication companies on the European index and only 7 on the world index.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World are two of the most important global and European ESG stock market indices that monitor the environmental, social and governance performance of major companies listed on international stock exchanges.
Launched in 1999, these two indices, which were acquired by S&P Global a couple of years ago, analyse more than 10,000 companies each year, comparing companies in 61 sectors using questionnaires with more than 100 questions to assess their overall sustainability performance.
Financial and non-financial performance is analysed, taking into account various aspects of business life, including innovation and research, risk management, customer and employee relations, human rights, diversity, climate change strategies, the supply chain and analysis of the social and environmental impacts of the business.
