Digital

We support Italy’s digital transition through services and platforms.

With advanced technologies such as 5G, sovereign cloud, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, we develop highly reliable digital solutions that enhance the efficiency of public administrations and the productivity of businesses.

Smart land

Smart lands are a key tool for territorial governance.

We are implementing more than 20 projects that digitalize Italy’s territories and infrastructures through solutions that integrate Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, generating both environmental and social benefits.

At the core are monitoring and forecasting services that simplify and improve the efficiency of city management, for example in mobility, public safety, tourist‑flow management and the protection of natural heritage.

We also support the management of complex infrastructures, such as industrial plants, bridges, dams, gas pipelines and power lines, and even entire cities, through infrastructure digital twins.

Genoa: improving urban mobility with Movyon

In Genoa, we have developed a smart system that collects data from the area through IoT sensors, access points and cameras, analyzes it using AI, and integrates it into a single platform.

This makes it possible to understand and simulate complex phenomena, improve mobility, reduce traffic and pollution, promote public transport and electric mobility, and ensure more equitable access to urban services.

Data Center

Data Centers are a strategic asset for our business but also a sustainability challenge.

With 16 sites across the country and one new AI‑ready facility planned, we offer the most extensive infrastructure in Italy. However, the environmental impact of Data Centers is a central factor in our environmental transition.

The widespread adoption of digital technologies, particularly generative AI, significantly increases the volume of data to be managed and the energy required by IT infrastructure, and consequently greenhouse‑gas emissions. For this reason, we are adopting an approach that combines energy efficiency, the use of 100% green electricity and higher environmental standards.

Thanks to this strategy, 11 of our Data Centers have already been certified under the European Code of Conduct for Data Center Energy Efficiency.
To cool our infrastructures, we also use systems that recover and reuse rainwater. Through these and other measures, we have reduced water consumption, achieving some of the highest efficiency levels in the sector across 9 sites.
