La Parità Non Può Aspettare (Equality Can't Wait), our commitment to accelerate gender equality, is now also a podcast produced together with StorieLibere, one of the most popular platforms. Four episodes will take us to the discovery of different aspects of the gender gap, through stories of activism, and personal and professional experiences.
The series is curated by writer and storyteller Mapi Danna who, as the narrator, introduces the topic, by highlighting how gender inequality is rooted in culture and education, and emphasises the urgency of breaking down the walls that still prevent equality from being achieved.
In the first episode, 'Verba manent-Quando parli facci caso' (Verba manent-Words matter), Mapi Danna chats with Alexa Pantanella, an expert in inclusive languages, to analyse the linguistic mechanisms that are still inherently patriarchal and their concrete impact on people and society. The protagonist of the second episode, "Il mammo non esiste" (There is no such thing as a househusband), is Andrea Colamedici, philosopher and writer, who, together with Mapi will explore the meaning and challenges of modern fatherhood. Sofia Redigolo, founder of the NGO Pangea, is the protagonist of the third episode entitled 'Non ti amo da morire' (I don't love you to death), which tackles the issue of gender-based violence. In the last episode of the season, "La leadership della cura" (Care(ing) leaders), Riccarda Zezza, CEO of Lifeed by MAAM (Maternity as a Master), talks about how care work and life transitions can turn into a training ground for soft skills.
