Telecom Italia: closer to customers through a new organisational model

Telecom Italia has introduced a new organizational model. Less than two months after Marco Tronchetti Provera´s announcement, the Telecom Group is reorganizing into Professional Families, which will result in tight operational integration between Corporate management and subsidiary companies/business units. Prompting this move is the need to place the customer as the central focus, to be able to rapidly respond to changes in the marketplace, to maximize Group synergies and to ensure the fast and transparent circulation of information.

Each Professional Family is being organized for efficiency. The objective is to develop Group working aptitudes, to adopt an approach focused on increasing synergies and make work as customer-oriented as possible. Under the new organizational model company functions are highly integrated. Indeed, in each Professional Family a central office is responsible for policy, coordination of processes and the overall quality of results. A feature of this coordinating role will be periodical staff meetings with the people in charge of business units and operations.
