Following the annual review of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) Telecom Italia has been included for the sixth consecutive time in both categories relevant to the indexes, DJSI World and the European DJSI STOXX. In particular Telecom Italia obtained 84 total points this year, with five improvement points compared with last year.
Inclusion follows a rigorous process of evaluation of the company by specialised rating agencies that analyze the financial and non-financial performance on the basis of general and sector related criteria. For example, these criteria concern relations with customers, risk management, strategies relating to climate change, the supply chain and analysis of the social-economic impact of the business.
The presence of a company in the sustainability indexes is an element of growing interest in the evaluation by investors that are increasingly considering also non-financial parameters in their choice of portfolio.
For Telecom Italia, that is also included in other major sustainability indexes (including the Financial Times Stock Exchange for Good, Ethibel Sustainability Indexes, Advanced Sustainable Performance Index, KLD Sustainability Indexes, ECPI Ethical Indexes and Axia) at a national and international level, this is an important confirmation of the Group’s commitment in the social and environmental field.
