02/09/2021 - 12:30 PM

To mark the “Safer Internet Day”, the international day dedicated to safe internet use, Operazione Risorgimento Digitale - the great alliance promoted by TIM and more than 40 partners of excellence to close the country's cultural digital divide - proposes a live event dedicated to parents and educators on the aware use of the internet in the family. The “Mese per la sicurezza in rete” promoted by the Ministry of Education will see the launch of numerous meetings, webinars and training events, as well as other appointments, in collaboration with consumer protection associations to spread awareness of the opportunities offered up by digital instruments and on-line safety.

It starts today with “Genitori in rete, consigli per figli social”, an educational talk show to be streamed live at 6 pm on Repubblica.it, as well as on the TIM Group’s YouTube channel: Riccardo Luna will be leading us in the discovery of everything there is to know to help the youngest in their exploration of the internet.
Parents, teachers and educators will be able to ask the experts questions throughout the day, by sending a text or voice message to (+39) 337 1444410.

Important representatives of Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Samsung Electronics Italy, TikTok and Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be offering practical explanations on how to make safe use of smartphones, applications and services.
Representatives of the institutions will also be involved, such as Nunzia Ciardi, Director of the Postal Police and Communications Service and Guido Scorza, Member of the Personal Data Protection Authority, along with qualified experts with whom the various different viewpoints on the matter can be addressed.
The following will be taking part in the event: Ernesto Belisario (lawyer and expert in law on technologies), Gigi De Palo (National Chairman of the Forum delle Associazioni Familiari - Forum of Family Associations), Maura Manca (psychologist and psychotherapist for children and teenagers), Rosy Russo (Founder and Chair of Parole O_Stili), Simone Cosimi (journalist and essay writer) as well as the endorsement of Elena Hazinah, the young TikToker with millions of followers.

The talk show contributions will then be used to prepare short lessons and endorsements that will be made available on the TIM Group YouTube channel, with the aim of promoting an awareness-raising campaign on the matter.

In addition, as part of the initiatives envisaged during the “Mese per la Sicurezza in rete” promoted by the Ministry of Education and by Generazioni Connesse, Operazione Risorgimento Digitale with Telefono Azzurro focuses training on the aware use of the internet and social networks.

In particular, for the programme “Scuola di internet per tutti” (“Internet School for All”), meetings are envisaged with 1-hour modules providing parents, grandparents and educators with useful in-depth contents to spread the principles of positive internet use.

Thanks to the collaboration of Adiconsum, Adoc, Cittadinanzattiva, Codacons, Federconsumatori, Udicon and Altroconsumo, the free webinars and video pills dedicated to smart, aware use of technology and new digital services and the prevention of online risks for the whole family, will be starting up again from 23 February and running through to the end of the year.

The new ‘Operazione Risorgimento Digitale’ training activities  confirm TIM's role in speeding up the spread of digital skills throughout the country. This commitment is executed in synergy with primary partners of excellence, including public and private entities, trade associations, the voluntary sector and important players in the field of social innovation, at a historical time of great transformation which requires greater updating capacity to fully seize all the opportunities of the digital world.
