Presentation today at the Turin Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR) of “Navigare Sicuri”, the Telecom Italia initiative to enhance awareness in web use among minor and parents

Navigare Sicuri, the Telecom Italia initiative to encourage children, students, teachers and parents to use the web with awareness and care, has been presented today at the OGR in Turin, in the Stazione Futuro square, by Lea Iandiorio, Principal of the Holden School in Turin, Marina Bertiglia, person in charge of training and didactic activities for the Comitato Italia150 in Turin and Massimiliano Tarantino, Head of Telecom Italia Corporate Communications Projects.

The event forms part of the activities of the Navigare Sicuri bus which, thanks to the five multimedia terminals and an interactive blackboard made available by Olivetti, a team of experts is accompanying teachers and parents on the path of fun and learning, to discover the great ocean of the web. Material specially designed for children and adults is also being distributed.

The Navigare Sicuri bus with its team of experts will involve students and teachers from the classes of the and 2.0 projects, with didactic interventions and interactive activities up to April 29th to illustrate the secrets of web safety.

Navigare Sicuri (www.navigaresicuri.org), its own pages on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter announcing the activities of the bus tour, has programmes specifically designed for the target groups, also through a dedicated website with the new version on line a couple of weeks ago, and aims to provide a reference point for the topics regarding safety on the Internet. In particular, the instruments include blogs updated daily, infographs, video interviews with opinion leaders, operators and experts in the sector, and special initiatives such as the one this month involving four young webstars who have written specially for the occasion their own personal rules regarding safety on the web.

After the stop in , the Navigare Sicuri bus will be in on 2-3 May.
