TIM and the National Amateur League together for the 2012/2013 season

11/05/2012 - 02:30 PM

Telecom Italia is the new partner and official supplier of the National Amateur League of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) for the 2012/2013 season. Through the agreement signed Telecom Italia ties itself to the entire football world at the base of Italian football.  A world of great enthusiasm and deep territorial roots which has as many as 15,000 clubs and over 70,000 teams taking part in amateur and youth championships.

The first initiative coming from this partnership is the “Fair Play TIM Cup” a parallel regional championship which awards teams points on the basis of fair play on and off the pitch and which will see the first kick-off in Puglia.  Every month, and until the end of the championship, the award will be assigned to one regional team in each of the categories, Juniores (Under 18), Allievi (Under 16) and Giovanissimi (Under 14), Eccellenza and Promozione (over 15).

These activities will be supported by the social network: the National Amateur League has, in fact, its own Facebook page thanks to TIM, where it hosts news, information on the best teams of the month for each category, portraits of new talents, stories related to the passion for football, photos and interviews with the protagonists.   An area for exchanging ideas regulated by a policy of fair play and mutual respect, so that the Italians' favourite sport can continue to be a source of inspiration, dialogue and discussion, but above all a place for positive, shared values.  The same principles behind the activities of the National Amateur League.

TIM, Telecom Italia mobile phone brand, has always been closely associated with sport. Its partnership with the NAL and the initiatives developed represent another step on the path inspired by the claim "Football belongs to those who love it" , which will continue with projects aimed at rewarding the upstanding values of football.
