The Autonomous Province of Trento, Telecom Italia together with Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson, Forteam Studio and Memetic today signed a collaboration agreement for the launch of the research project “eSchooling” aimed at the development of advanced models of digital teaching for schools.
The aim of this initiative is to create, in the technological centre of Trento, new ICT systems based on applications capable of simplifying both student learning and the teaching of teachers and to create greater awareness of the use of educational support tools, such as interactive multimedia whiteboards (LIM - lavagne interattive multimediali), and latest generation tablets and digital books.
The project will produce software applications that will be experimentally tested at some schools in Trentino which have already declared their interest.
The initiative – which sees the Autonomous Province of Trento fully committed to taking an active role on the topic of the school – aims to promote a cognitive process based on different models of producing and using knowledge, effectively integrating the potentials offered by the new technologies thanks to the expertise of companies that operate in ICT, the collaboration of some research bodies and the know-how of new local enterprises in the sector.
