PappanoinWeb is back this year with a 360-degree view

TIM and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia present the 5th edition of PappanoinWeb, a project that brings great classical music to the web thanks to TIM's innovative technological platforms, which experiment new ways to disseminate quality content and share artistic experience. From this edition onwards, events will be shot in 360-degree view allowing for an even more real experience because the future really is for all (#ilfuturoèditutti).

PappanoinWeb is back online with four new events streamed live at telecomitalia.com/pappanoinweb, also available on demand until 31 December 2016.

PappanoinWeb, an event presented by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and TIM, is back and offering a digital version of great classical music through TIM's innovative technological platforms. Using the potential of the Internet and social networks, the events allow a web audience to watch great classical music concerts and interact with the musicians and music experts.

PappanoinWeb offers an annual programme of symphonic and chamber music concerts. This year's edition includes four new events streamed live from telecomitalia.com/pappanoinweb, also available on demand until 31 December 2016.

The first concert, which will be broadcast on Monday 12 October, is part of the "Beethoven and Contemporaries" project, offering pieces by Ludwig Van Beethoven and his contemporary Gaspare Spontini. Sir Antonio Pappano will conduct the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Sala Santa Cecilia starting at 8:30 pm).

The big news this year is the addition of "360-degree panoramic" filming technology that enhances the show with close-ups of the Orchestra, Chorus and Conductor, giving web spectators the feeling of actually sitting in the hall.

Each event will be preceded by an introductory guide presented by an expert musicologist together with Maestro Antonio Pappano. The guides will be published on a dedicated website to help prepare the web audience for the concerts in the programme. During the concerts, music lovers can share their comments and opinions on TIM's social media channels at hashtags #pappanoinweb and #ilfuturoèditutti, as well as interact live with the expert to satisfy their curiosity in real time.

The event's success can be seen in the results it has achieved  in the previous four editions, where more than 200,000 users watched the concerts on TIM's platforms, while more than 1,500 conversations took place on social networks during the 2014 edition alone.

PappanoinWeb won the "Cultura + Impresa" first prize in 2013 - awarded by the non-profit Cultura + Impresa Committee - which is dedicated to the best innovative cultural partnerships. The website also received first prize for Best Corporate Website and second prize in the Digital Branded Content category of the NC Digital Awards in 2014, which are dedicated to the best interactive and online communication campaigns of 2013.

Thanks to this initiative with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, TIM continues its promotion of digital culture on the web, capitalising on the interaction opportunities offered by the Internet and supporting the sharing of cultural values that come from the most deep-rooted traditions of Italy.  The project is part of the #ilfuturoèditutti activities of TIM's Corporate Shared Value, which is a programme based on creating shared values within communities where TIM operates.
