Fondazione TIM promotes social innovation, over 2 million euros earmarked for the most deserving projects

New programme launched to select the most innovative ideas supporting social inclusion, art, culture, education and scientific research. Funding of up to 700,000 euros available in each field

04/07/2023 - 04:00 PM

Fondazione TIM promotes social innovation and launches a new initiative designed to support the most innovative ideas and projects that use technology as a distinctive tool for social development.

With this project, Fondazione TIM, chaired by Salvatore Rossi and led by the General Manager, Giorgia Floriani, is strengthening its commitment to responsibility towards the community by promoting a culture of innovation - which is the foundation of the TIM Group's activities - in the areas of social inclusion, art and culture, education and scientific research.

In particular, the new ideas must apply to each of the three macro areas:

-        social inclusion: to respond to the inclusive needs of our society, focusing in particular on the problems that the pandemic and the consequences of the war have created in our communities;

-        art and culture: to safeguard and support Italian cultural heritage. The initiative is also open to supporting projects intended to create musical and theatrical performances that use new, sustainable and technological languages;

-        education and scientific research: to carry out educational and research projects that are in step with the incessant and rapid change in society.

For each of the three areas, funding of up to a maximum of 700,000 euros is available for one or more projects.  Projects that provide for co-financing of at least 20% of the total cost of the project itself will be prioritised, and will be evaluated according to the level of technological innovation, impact on society and degree of feasibility and economic sustainability.

The Fondazione TIM initiative is aimed at philanthropic organisations, foundations, recognised and social promotion organisations, social cooperatives, voluntary organisations, universities, religious organisations, public non-profit-making bodies involving local communities.

Proposals can be submitted between 3 April and 10 July at www.fondazionetim.it
