AC750 Wi-Fi Repeater

The new ZyXEL WRE6505 Wireless AC750 Range Extender has been designed and manufactured applying guidelines aimed at reducing its environmental impacts, both from the point of view of the energy consumption, and with reference to the final disposal at the end of its useful life.

The main features that contribute to reducing the AC750 wireless repeater environmental footprint are the following:

• in the use phase, the product consumes about more than 39% less electrical energy than what would be required to comply with the voluntary European Code of Conduct for Broadband Equipment, and this in turn corresponds to avoiding the same percentage of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 equivalent);
• the plastic material used for the shell is homogeneous and recyclable;
• the weight of the shell has been reduced and optimized, without affecting the aesthetical characteristics and functional requirements;
• the disassembly procedures are optimized and specific guidelines for managing properly the end of life processes are provided, which allo w easy identification of the parts that can be sent to recycling/recovery;
• the product’s packaging is mono-material for easy disposal. The cardboard used for the package is not plasticized and 83% recycled.
