Smart Modem Technicolor

The new Smart Modem manufactured by Technicolor, which is included in TIM's ultra broadband service offers, exhibits significant eco-efficiency features:

when operating in the ON mode, the product consumes up to 8% less energy as compared to the challenging targets set in the EU Code of Conduct for broadband equipment, with an equivalent reduction of GHG emissions;
the shell is manufactured using 100% recyclable non-halogenated plastics;
the weight of the shell has been reduced by 20% as compared to a previous generation product and, thanks to the application of eco-design rules, disassembly time has been reduced significantly, thus making end-of-life management easier;
the packaging is made of non-plasticized, 100% recycled cardboard.
