TIM has this year retained its prominent rating in the CDP assessment (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the global non-profit focused on environmental impact that manages the leading platform for assessing the performance of companies in the fight against climate change. TIM attained a "B" rating for 2019, against a European and global industry average that fell to "C".
The result achieved by TIM is testament to its high level of transparency and focus on risks and opportunities relating to climate change, which translates into real action to manage physical and transitional impacts of climate change.
TIM's commitment to investors and stakeholders in dealing with the challenge posed by climate change is demonstrated by its desire to integrate environmental sustainability targets into its business plan and to consider the environment in its programme to create shared value with the communities in which it operates. The challenge for TIM is to constantly improve its score by including appropriate governance policies and increasingly targeted actions in its current best practices.
