AI-Oltre-le-connessioni

Artificial Intelligence beyond connections

An event by TIM Enterprise and Noovle with the participation of Google Cloud.

02/24/2023 - 04:10 PM

The ability to respond to people using natural language or to create images and videos from a simple textual description are among the capabilities that have brought Artificial Intelligence to the attention of the general public. But AI is much more than that, and can be a valuable ally in making production processes and business organisation more efficient.

This potential was discussed during the event "Artificial Intelligence beyond connections”, organised on 14 February by TIM Enterprise and Noovle, with the participation of Google Cloud. Experts from different industries discussed the competitive advantages that not only AI, but also other technological enablers such as Machine Learning or the Internet of Things, can bring to the development of intelligent services for companies and public administrations.

The technological evolution for business and PA

The event took place at the “Officine Grandi Riparazioni” in Turin, the headquarters of the Innovation Centre for AI and Cloud development of Noovle and Google Cloud, and was also an opportunity to present some live demos of solutions and use cases tested in different market segments: from customer services to process automation in manufacturing companies, from finance and insurance to the digitalisation of the PA, and even the entire chain of public services such as energy, transport and health, with the aim of improving the relationship with the citizen-user. TIM Urban Genius, for example, is the Smart City solution that integrates sensors for real-time collection of big data on the community, with artificial intelligence systems, enabling decision-makers to predict developments in various scenarios of urban life, including emergencies related to traffic flows, the state of infrastructures and weather phenomena.

The raw material that enables the evolution of these solutions is, of course, the enormous amount of data produced by an interconnected economy, which artificial intelligence can extract, process, and analyse to increase the competitiveness of companies, enable faster access to local resources, and support industrial policies. The applications of this evolution are constantly growing: from data analysis (Intelligent Data Processing) to natural language interpretation (Natural Language Processing), from Computer Vision to predictive maintenance to industrial automation (Intelligent Robotic Process Automation).

The integration of artificial intelligence systems with increasingly high-performance infrastructures and complementary solutions will bring public services and production chains in our country closer to people and their needs.
