Olivetti I-JET: business unit sold

Olivetti I-Jet, an Olivetti SpA company, as part of the winding up process started in June 2012, has sold its Manufacturing e Silicon Production business units to SICPA Italia.

SICPA, which from 1 December 2013 had already acquired the Research and Development business unit, is a Swiss company based in Lausanne with 3,000 employees operating throughout the world in the field of the most advanced technologies for security systems and security inks – used to print most of the world's banknotes – anti-fraud and anti-counterfeiting systems.

With this latest acquisition, operational from 1 July 2014, SICPA Italia will employ a total of 43 people who will continue to work in Arnad in Valle d'Aosta therefore guaranteeing the technological and industrial vocation of the Arnad site.
