Bernard Barani

Joined the European Commission in 1994 as responsible for implementation of research and policy in wireless communication. He is currently Acting head of unit in charge of research and innovation on Future Connectivity Systems in the CONNECT Directorate General of the EC, where he leads the definition and implementation of the research strategy and related policy issues in the context of the 5G Public Private Partnership launched in 2013, and of the 5G Action Plan launched in 2016. He has an engineering degree of the French ENSTB.
