The ultrabroadband network and data centres
Access to technology is key to the economic and social inclusion of people and the growth of businesses and public administration. We are working to continually expand our fixed and mobile ultrabroadband network and to upgrade our 16 Data Centres: with 50,000 square metres of system rooms, they are capable to providing IT power amounting to 58Mw.
Digital solutions
Our TIM Enterprise package offers a complete portfolio of infrastructure cloud solutions forming the hub of our professional management and consultancy services, and a multi-cloud offer built with leading public cloud operators including Google, of whom we are a Premier Partner.
Through the National Strategic Hub, of which we own 45%, we support the migration of public administration data to an independent and technologically advanced cloud.
And with our cutting-edge technologies, such as 5G, IoT, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, we design new opportunities for services and applications in the fields of smart cities, Industry 4.0, agritech, digital retail, as well as in tourism and the enhancement of Italy's artistic and cultural heritage.
In cybersecurity we implement solutions for the defence and resilience of the digital economy through Telsy, our specialised competence centre. We work with Trust Technologies to implement new digital identity and validation services aimed at streamlining the bureaucracy of public and private organisations.
Our work with Italian museums and archaeological parks includes offering tools ranging from monitoring control rooms to visitor service management platforms. We also provide state-of-the-art solutions using augmented and virtual reality to increase engagement by regular visitors and attract the interest of new demographics.
Digital innovation
We increase the value offered to our customers through our internal research work and external collaborations: these range through patents, TIM Innovation Labs projects, European research contracts, PhDs with top Italian universities, partnership activities and TIM Ventures investments in start-ups and technology SMEs. A year ago we also launched the 'TIM Growth Platform', an extensive programme for scouting innovative solutions, involving more than 900 companies including Italian and international SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups.
